30 Days of Giving Thanks

I know for me, it is hard to believe that we are staring November in the face. In case you hadn’t noticed, the US celebration of Thanksgiving is just about a month away. Wow. Spending these past 8 months in quarantine has taught me to look at thanks with a new fervor.

I may actually able to get a turkey for the celebrations this year! But, more than the food (which I am always happy to discuss), this year, I have real drive to thank God. Who knows, maybe it is the circumstances that we find the world in, the tensions that seem to be building, but the attitude of our hearts is much more important than these circumstances.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 exhorts us to ‘give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.’

So, in an effort to truly change my heart and kneel in obedience, I’ve decided to follow a deliberate plan to thank God for the 30 days of November. Will you join me? I’ve just listed 30 things that we can all be thankful for and about. It’s a jpg file, so you can pop it into your camera pictures to check each day as you pray. The file has a fairly neutral look, so you can use it any month or repeat in the new year!

I hope you’ll join me!
