I AM Study Closure

This concludes our I AM study!

I found as this study developed that I knew the references from the Old Testament, but had never connected them directly to the I AM statements of Jesus. It is perhaps these small discoveries that make the study worth it, at least for me. A friend pointed out that her Bible gave the reference of Ezekiel 34 in the John 10 passage of the Good Shepherd, so she didn’t have the awe response that I did. I think that is the wonder of the word, it speaks to us, individually, in His time.

Opened up

This study has opened my eyes to the hidden passages of the Old Testament, those passages that show how God longed after and continues to long after his people. These passages highlight the character of the Lord as he chose to present himself to his people, reminding us that the old and the new testament are in fact one story. The continuum begs to be noticed in this study.

We will again take a two week break before our next study begins!

I can’t wait for what God has in store for us! I’m still not sure if we go with a study of Mark or Luke. What are you interested in next?
